Valley County Fire Prevention

Working Together for Consistent Fire Prevention Standards

Valley County Fire Prevention is a collaborative effort between the McCall, Cascade, and Donnelly Fire Protection Districts to provide consistent fire prevention information, guidance, and requirements throughout our communities.

Our goal is to simplify the permitting and development process by establishing common standards, improving coordination between fire districts and local building departments, and making fire code requirements easier to understand.

This website provides property owners, builders, contractors, and developers with access to fire prevention guidelines, site plan requirements, and other resources intended to support safe construction and development.

While each fire district maintains its own jurisdiction and authority, we work together to promote consistent application of applicable fire codes and standards throughout our service areas.

Applicable Fire Codes & Standards

Fire prevention requirements are based on applicable Idaho statutes, adopted fire codes, and nationally recognized standards. The following resources are provided to help property owners, contractors, and design professionals identify relevant codes and requirements.
