BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING

Present: Commissioner Binder, Commissioner Hill, Commissioner Noah, Chief Billmire, Assistant Chief de Jong, Captain VanMiddendorp, Captain Swain, Jonas Bean, Anna Martin, Jay Mentzer, Jake Class and Pat Dumont.
Commissioner Binder called the meeting to order at 07:03.
Chief Billmire performed a swearing in ceremony for new employees Jay Mentzer and Jake Class.
Motion: Commissioner Noah moved to approve the minutes from the November 12, 2014 meeting.
Chief Billmire read the financial report.
Motion: Commissioner Noah moved to accept the financial report and approve payment of all bills.
Chief Billmire updated the Commissioners on grants we have submitted.
MONTHLY REPORT: Chief Billmire reviewed the Monthly Report, Jonas Bean talked about Sam, who is our new MDA honorary firefighter.
EMS: Anna Martin reported on EMS.
PREVENTION/INSPECTION: Chief Billmire and Assistant Chief de Jong reported on prevention and inspection, which included a discussion about the safety of Winter Carnival sculptures.
TRAINING: Chief Billmire reported on training.
VOLUNTEERS: Captain Swain reported on volunteers.
APPARATUS/EQUIPMENT: Captain Swain reported on apparatus.
ADMINISTRATION: Pat and Chief Billmire reported on administration.
LOCAL 4564: Jonas Bean reported on local 4564.
Assistant Chief de Jong discussed the HIPAA & Red Flag policies with the Commissioners. It was decided to have a special meeting on January 7 at 07:00 to discuss these in more detail. It was requested that we contact the compliance person at the hospital and see if they could attend this meeting.
Motion: Commissioner Binder made a motion to adjourn.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 08:37
